It is wierd to hop Smith all that way, but A-Ball hitters really do have trouble with the gimmick guys so maybe the Mets felt he wouldn't be challenged there or maybe he's just filling a roster spot for a few days and will bounce back to St. Lucie or Hagerstown. It's funny, usually when I write, I write the Norfolk stuff first, and the Binghamton, and on down wrapping up in the GCL. However, last night, I started with Binghamton and finished with AA. Ken Chenard is listed as released on his minorleaguebaseball.com career page.
