Re: Mets Minor League Report 6-25-2006
by NateW
just a note about the Saturday GCL game. former AA and AAA catcher Zac Clements was the starting pitcher and worked four innings striking out 6 with 4 hits and 5 walks. He had pitched once for the Tides in a blowout game earlier this year and if I remember right his fastball was clocked around 95. He must be the newest member in the Mets science expiriment involving the 'tommy john' ligaments in position players converted to pitchers. (Zambrano, Fortunato, Owens)
