AAA – New Orleans (Pacific Coast League)

Oklahoma RedHawks (66-63) 10, @ Zephyrs (66-65) 2

I’m an unabashed Edinson Volquez fan.  I saw him in the Cal League in 2004 and 2005.  His two best pitches, a a mid 90’s fastball and changeup, both with sink and run were impressive, but more importantly, his work ethic was strong, and he’s developed a nice curveball as well.  Tuesday, he two-hit the Zs through seven shutout innings.  Volquez walked three, but struck out three.

Adam Bostick gave up six runs on eight hits (three home runs) in four innings.

Andy Tracy was 2-2 with two walks, reaching base safely in each of his four plate appearances.
