The Zephyrs took a 3-0 lead behind home runs from Chip Ambres and Fernando Tatis, their 19th each. However, Philip Humber couldn’t make it stand up. Humber allowed back-to-back homers to Brad Nelson and Andy Abad in a five run fourth, he couldn’t finish. Humber (10-9, 4.66) lasted just 3.2 innings as he allowed five runs on four hits and four walks. Ambiorix Burgos gave up a two run home run in the seventh.
Three different Zs had two hits beginning with Anderson Hernandez who was 2-4 with a double at the top of the order. Chad Hermansen and Robinson Cancel added two more apiece.

Sal Aguilar (7-7, 5.86) gave up eight runs in 3.2 innings, and the double-A Mets never had a chance.
Brett Harper homered, his 22nd of the year. Mike Nickeas and Jamar Hill each had two singles.

In game one, the Mets took a 4-1 lead only to watch the Hammerheads score four of their own in the top of the fourth for a 5-1 lead. However, St. Lucie evened the score at 5-5 wit ha run in the bottom of the fourth and hung the third four-run inning of the game on the board in the bottom of the fifth. Ambio Concepcion was 2-2 with two doubles, three runs scored and an RBI. Batting right behind him, Emmanuel Garcia was 2-2 with 3 RBI. Eric Brown lasted six innings, yielding all five runs for the win. Jose De La Torre fanned two in the seventh.
Again, in game two, the Mets broke a tie, this time a 5-5 game, with five runs over the fifth and sixth innings. Jonathan Malo was 2-3 with two doubles and four RBI. Emmanuel Garcia continued his hot start to the day with a 3-4 performance in game two. Catcher Teddy Dziuba, who has bounced around the system, was 2-3 with a pair of doubles. On the hill, Joe Serfass (6.16) was tagged for five runs in three innings, but German Marte calmed things down with three scoreless innings of relief. Marte (3-3, 4.08) struck out five and walked just one.

Lets start from the end, where Matt Durkin struck out five in two scoreless innings of relief for his second save. Greg Mullens (5-3, 4.31) allowed just one run in seven innings without walking or striking out a batter.
With the sticks, Hector Pellot doubled and drove home a run while going 2-4. DJ Wabick also brought home a run in a 2-4 effort.
