Binghamton (AA - Eastern League)

@ Binghamton 4, Bowie 3

Wilson Batista led the B-Mets attack with 3-4 night that included a solo HR in the bottom of the first inning.  Shortstop Corey Ragsdale was 2-2 with a run scored.  Both Ambio Concepcion and Carlos Gomez were 1-3, although Gomez drove home a run.

St. Lucie (A+ - Florida State League)

@ St. Lucie 4, Brevard County 2

The Manatees scored twice off Philip Humber in the second inning to take a 2-0, but that was all they got against the big righty who dealt six innings.  He allowed only those two runs on three hits.  He walked two and struck out two.

St. Lucie broke a 2-2 tie with two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning on a throwing error on Brevard’s 3B, Joe Thatcher.  Mike Carp doubled home the Mets first two runs in the third as part of a 1-2 night that also included a walk.  Jose Coronado and  Bobby Malek each had two hits from the top two spots in the batting order.

Hagerstown (A – South Atlantic League)

Hickory 7, @ Hagerstown 3

Jon Niese had one of his worst outings of the season yielding season highs in runs (7) and HR (3) in his six innings of work.

The Suns scored two runs in the first on an RBI groundout from catcher Raphael Arroyo and a wild pitch, but didn’t score again until the bottom of the fifth when the score was already 6-2.   Nick Evans was 2-5 and the only Sun with more than one hit.

Brooklyn (SSA – New York Penn League)

Brooklyn 5, @ Williamsport 3

The Mets outhit the Twins 7-4 but couldn’t find an equalizing run.  RF Donald Green was 2-3 while DJ Wabick and catcher Joshua Thole were each 2-4.
