Binghamton Mets (AA - Eastern League)
Binghamton 2, Akron 9

Jay Caliguiri and Andy Wilson each knocked in an RBI and Willie Collazo only made it through 4.2 innings pitched. He gave up eight runs - all earned - and struck out six. He gave up one home run.

Collazo gave up five runs in the second inning and three more in the fifth before Orlando Roman and Robert Paulk were brought in to mop up Collazo's mess. They struck out two and gave up one run in a combined 3.1 innings pitched.

Port St. Lucie Mets (A Advanced - Florida State League)
St. Lucie 4, Jupiter 0

The Mets are now 1-1 in the second half and guaranteed themselves a playoff spot earlier in the week when they clinched the first half division title. Jose Sanchez threw 8.2 innings of six hit ball and struck out six en route to an overall dominating game by the St. Lucie squad. Carlos Muniz grabbed the last out in the ninth and received the save.

Ambiorix Concepcion and Mike Carp each took home two RBIs. Concepcion had a two run double in the third and Carp brought the Mets first run home in the first with a sacrifice fly and their fourth run home in the third when he hit a line drive single to plate Concepcion.

Hagerstown Suns (A - South Atlantic League)
Hagerstown 6, Lakewood 4

Jeffrey Landing pitched five innings of three run baseball with five walks, three strike outs and a home run given up. He struggled in the third and allowed the BlueClaws to score three runs. Eric Brown pitched three innings in relief and struck out four to receive the hold while Kevin Tomasiewicz pitched the ninth to take the save. Tomasiwicz gave up one run.

Joe Holden and Jonathan Sanchez each hit a home run and Sanchez pulled out a 3-4 night. He was the only Sun with two RBIs. Hagerstown only left two runners in scoring position all night.

Brooklyn Cyclones (Class A Short Season - New York/Penn League)
Brooklyn 1, Aberdeen 2

The Cyclones fell to 0-4 on the season due to Nick Abel's blown save. He pitched three innings and gave up two runs in the bottom of the sixth to allow the Ironbirds to overtake Brooklyn.

Armand Gaerlan had the Cyclones lone RBI, a double in the fifth inning that brought home Ritchie Price.

GCL Mets (Rookie - Gulf Coast League)
GCL Mets 3, GCL Nationals 11

The score was halfway respectable - the Nats were shutting out the Mets five to nothing - until the Washington farm team scored six runs in the seventh inning to turn it into an absolute blowout. The Mets scored two in the eighth and one in the ninth, but it was too little, too late.

Richard Pena had two RBI for the Mets while starting pitcher Michael Swindell could only make it 2.2 innings into the game. He gave up three earned runs. Stanley Pujols was responsible for the six run seventh. Five of the six runs were earned and his ERA vaulted to 22.50 in two innings this season.

Kingsport Mets (Rookie - Appalachian League)
Kingsport 2, Greeneville 4

Sean McCraw had both RBIs for the Mets, who are tied for first place in their division after three games. Julio Polanco pitched 4.1 innings in his start and gave up three runs, two earned. Daniel Arizmendi gave up the other Astros run in the seventh, although it was unearned.
